newbie from Buffalo
Hello, got a fairly clean 95 shortbox (700) a few months back 2.2 auto with a bad headgasket rebuilt trans. ARE glass bedcover & a loud blaupaukt stereo , i WAS gonna just fix it, drop it & do the lil bit of body work it needs & call it done. then my car/bike/racing friends started throwing me stuff they got laying around & a couple deals, thus far, stock 1ton 350 carb 2 pan w/acc stock conv& t350 ($375) mint black 78 transam buckets, b&m(?) rachet shifter & another t350 outta of a bigblock prostreet truck (upgraded to t400 & blower/efi 7.55 1/8th), we don,t know whats in the 2nd t350 other than a shift kit but 4200lb truck w/454 & 15in wide tires could do block long burnouts & not miss a beat. should be ok in my truck. next pieces 8.8 explorer rearend & 9in t350 tail housing. plan on doing the 1/8 mi gig cruz nites etc.... i weld & fab wanna do a few body mods, mostly tilt frontend, i'm sure other people here do this, it's easier to change motors-trans/work on, i'm not pulling the front end apart everytime. should be interesting, how fast can u go, how cheap w/junkyard takeouts used speed parts & a welding machine ? we will see, regards, Chris
