So here's what I ended up doing - instead of raising & moving the engine back, I had #3 tube "modified". It pained me to chop these headers, but it was by far the easiest & cheapest way to go. This is just a temp fix until I can have it done a little cleaner & better, but it really worked out well.

Control arms clear just fine, and now that I have a little over 5" of upward travel, the truck is hooking & consistent as all get out - ran the first bracket at our new "Showtime" dragstrip (formerly Sunshine) last Saturday. Here are the times:

1.52 60', 6.92
1.51 60', 6.91
1.50 60', 6.97 (let out - treed my buddy )
1.49 60', 6.90 (red lit - got too excited....)
