96 4x4 Blazer Rear end

anyone know if a 96 blazer 4x4 rear is a decent swap for a 1st gen? The blazer is not a ZR2 just standard 4x4. Anyone know the length of this axle compared to the stock 1st gen. Should this one be 4 inches wider? Thanks

Yeah it will be wider but you need to see if it is the 8.5 or 7.5.

96 should be the 7.5" and if it is like keiths then it will be i" wider per side... i cant speak for dead certain that this is the case as i did not measure the rear keith got but his is 2" wider than a stock first get s10...
