I just run the cheapest one I can find...I did my whole hotside (ALOT of cutting) with one wheel...what wall thickness are you trying to cut? I found on the thicker stuff it's faster to cut with a bandsaw/sawzall - much smaller kerf and no heat
We use all sorts of metal cutting saws at work and mainly just use Lenox blades...
We use a carbide tooth metal cutting blade on all of our chop saws...
They are more expensive than a abrasive wheel, but cut much better and last longer if treated right...
We get them through a supplier, but you can get different brands at Lowes and Sears...

One word.. Freud!
Specifically.. Freud Inc D1080N 10" x 80T Metal Blade
I use these Diablo blades at work and at home. I bought a 7-1/4" blade and put it in my
wormdrive saw and was able to cut 1-1/2"x4" solid aluminum bar stock like butter.

A few years ago, a co-worker loaned me a Porter-Cable Porta-Band bandsaw, I wound up swapping him some labor for the saw, and I haven't used my chop saw or my big bandsaw since then. If I could find a gear for my big bandsaw, I'd probably use it sometimes, but I don't miss the use of it very much, since the portable bandsaw will do just about anything I need to do. :cool4:
