8 Point Roll Bar Help

Hey guys,

As the title states, I am looking for a bit of help with a 8 point roll bar install.

My first question is: Do all the bars have to go to the frame rails or just the main hoop and the rear support bars?
The IHRA book just says "roll bar" which to me means just the main hoop.

If anyone has a few pics of their roll bars could you please post them? I am looking mostly for how it was done on the underside of the truck.

yes they all have to go to the frame if it's a full frame car/truck. i assume it's a s10 so you'll have to make outriggers to go out towards the rockers. a piece of 2x3 tube works well welded to the side of the frame. it doesn't have to be attached on the outer edge but i would do it. i used round tube on mine as you can see in these pics.

Yea after getting the motor figured out at the last race this year it ran 11.48 back to back. I got a unofficial warning. Up to that point is was running low 12's.
With a few more tweeks I know the motor has low 11's or high 10's in it so I think it's time.

I still have to order the roll bar and other items so it will be awhile till I can post pics of the progress.

Thanks man, that helps a lot. I should be ordering the roll bar kit with in the next 2 weeks to avoid the xmas shipping rush. It will also give me something to do over the xmas break.

Roll bar came in today. I am getting very excited. Fenderwell exit headers are on order too.

Well stage 1 has started. I got the roll bar and support bars.
My headers came too which is nice.

If anyone has more pics please feel free to post them. Right now I am working on how to mount the seat and belts.

Are the "eye" bolt seat belt mounts good?
