splitting up the bills

how do you and your wife split up the house hold bills?



say she brings home a 1/3 of what you do, how do you guys do it?

Does the main money maker pay everything that comes due regularly and the other buy groceries and stuff or what?

I'm the only one making money so I guess I pay all the bills. :(

My wife pays all the bills. My check goes into one shared account. We transfer money from it to another checking for "just in case purposes".

I get paid every week and my wife gets paid every 2 weeks. Usually I pay the rent, groceries, daycare, electric and whatever.

She pays her truck note and our insurance and whatever else. We really don't split it though.

My wife works at a bank , so she is very good with money and paying bills, I work a lot, make a lot and she takes care of it, her job pays for our duramax and camper and car trailer GOD BLESS HER!!!!! my wife is a sweet heart

My wife direct deposits some of her check into my account. She does the grocery and meds thing along with ger and the kids cells and takes care of the school stuff and any extracurricular things. I look at what i have each month, pay what i can, and unhook the phone...:2up:

I work 2 jobs one for the house/utilities/etc, 2nd job (part time goes toward mytruck. we have a shared account too...but part time job is credit toward VSI unless I need cash. she woeks as well. I work 11-7 and usually 7.30-2pm.

I don't even see my paycheck. It's direct deposited and my wife makes out all the bills. And she makes more money than me. All I do is ask when I can buy more hotrod parts:smile5:

our money all goes to the same account. all the bills get payed from it and we tell eachother when were spending money on toys and luxuries, at the end of each month we put whatever is left over in savings.

"Separate accounts!!!" I cover the mortgage and my personal bills(phone, student loans, insurance, etc) and she covers the utilities, internet, groceries and her personal bills. And we both keep what we have leftover for whatever. Mine actually gets broken down to savings for the truck and racing, and regular spending.. her's just gets spent... lol
