Does anyone know the inside diameter and thickness of the flared metal piece that stock shackle bushings fit in? Thanks

I'm not exactly sure which part you're talking about.
Here is a couple pictures to see if the part you are talking about is in one of them. First picture is of the rear shackle and frame.

Second picture is of the front spring mount and frame.

Those two pictures show everything except for the springs themselves. If you can point out exactly which part you're wondering about we can help.
Maybe it's just too late, and I'm not thinking clearly? :yikes:

Thanks for the help. What I need to know is the inner and out thickness of the flared piece that runs throught the frame. Where the rear shackle is bolted through the frame. I know it is flared on both sides. The reason I am asking is I took one of them out. It didn't come quietly and is not in the best condition. I took it out because the instructions to my Prothane bushing stated to do this. THEY ARE WRONG. You need the metal casing in the frame but not the leaf spring eye. So now I need to find a piece of pipe the same thickness so I can put it back in and weld it in place so I can put the bushing back on. Thanks for the help

Gottcha........
Sorry, but I don't have any idea. Maybe someone on here has their truck stripped down and can get a measurement for you?
Good luck

I would measure the OD of the bushing, find a piece of tubing the right ID (be sure to allow a bit of clearance for movement), the OD of the tubing doesn't really matter, you can enlarge the size of the hole in the frame to match it. :cool4:
