Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.

I am brand new to the s-trucks....but not from racing lol. I have built a few fun street/ strip cars, and I have done quite a bit of work on several drag cars in the area. The newest addition to my family is a 1987 4wd extended cab short bed S15. It is a 2.8 6cyl, 4spd manual.

The photo above is from the day I brought it home. It's not even close to that now! lol
---------------------------------------------------

So far I have removed the bed, stripped the rear frame rails and painted. Installed a brand new fuel tank, sender and 255lph walbro. New braided -6an fuel front to back, new braided brake lines from the master back, brand new brakes all around, and I have started heavy on the body-work. I also have a new bed with shaved tails and latch (will have to find a way to install something new)

I understand that building a 4wd race truck is sorta dumb, so lets just keep in mind this is a dual purpose street/ daily toy and hauler lol.

The shell is fairly solid, but it did need some rot attention, and I am in the process of correcting it!

--------------------------------------------------

While the project is moving along, I am getting hung up and I could use some help from some of you guys...
So if any of you think you could help answer some of the questions below...feel free!

For the drive-train, I am running a 400/th400 combo. So far I have the 2.8 swap mounts, and Canton 4wd oil pan.

1- Does anyone know of a set of headers which will work with the 4x4 AND angle plug heads?
2- Are there any other transfer kit adapters or tricks for mating a th400 without spending 500+ on the Advanced Adapters kit?
3- Do I need to purchase a small distributor or could I get away with a typical HEI setup without hacking up the firewall?

--------------------------------------------------

Thanks for looking and for the help in advance. If I get some decent time to spend tomorrow, I plan on snapping a bunch of photos and updating.

Like I mentioned before, I understand the 4wd isnt the first choice of most, but it will be great for me lol. I still plan on dragging it down the track and hopefully the numbers I plan will turn a few heads

Sounds like a cool build.
Don't know much about the headers in a 4x4?
Whats that adapter kit look like?
A regular dizzy should work fine but, It all depends on your engine placement.

Cant wait to see some pics.. I think the 4x4 should be a fun project.
