Just thought i would post up some progress on the blazer...The Short Bus will be flat black, so my Son and I cleaned it up, painted the engine bay, Door jams, and roll cage, Headers, also pained the cab floorboard with trunk speckle paint. I also removed the brake booster, split it and cut out the mounting studs on both sides and made my own bracket for the master cylinder.

Thats a cool idea on the master cylinder mount. Does the stock push rod work with that?

Thanks..I am using the stock push rod, it was about a 1/2 inch short, so I moved the brake light switch bracket forward, seems to be ok...

We have to get a steering column kit to relocate where the column exits the cab, so the steering shaft will clear the headers, A little bit of fab work in our near future, should be fun!!!!!!

Looks killer!
What headers are those? They look like a very good fit.
You only had to cut one tube?

I think its great you got your boy in there helping.. I guess he's going to get a couple of passes
with that beast hu? ;)

Keep the pics coming!

Thanks!!!
Yeah...Only one tube was cut...
I bought the headers from a guy that has a 8 second Sonoma out of OKC...
They were hand built for his truck, 2 1/4 primaries and 4 1/2 collector..
As far as the boy driving the Bus......He will have to make many....many passes with the Chevelle first.....haha

Been off of here for a while...best buy couldnt figure out my computer, and were holding it hostage, bought a competition engineering steering column kit and installation kit and ran it so it would clear the headers, wired in everything, delay box, line lock, trans brake, new auto meter guages, picked up a dual bar gemini nitrous kit, wired and plumbed it all, here are some pics..and a vid ..if i can make it work..

went to Ford Vs Buick..(I put a gmc grill in it so I could run on the buick side)
1st run was just a shakedown run, let off at the 1/8 mile, ran 10.54 @112
2nd was 10.26 @132.8 was good enough to qualify 5th out of 85 buicks.

The final run I made was with a 250 shot, it blew through the converter pretty bad, shut the nitrous off at about 300 feet, you can see the shift light turn off,

ran 1.35 60 foot, 6.03 @ 109.98 and 9.63 @ 135.39

It has alot left in it, pretty good for the first time out ...i think

The mustang ran a 8.47 @ 157.....holy moley
