As most of you know.. I threw a rod at the Nationals.
This time I am getting serious. A 434ci bad boy!

I will keep adding to this thread until the motor is complete.

Here are some pics of the heads..

A little info.
AFR 227 Spreadport SBC CNC heads.
(8mm 2.10/1.6), springs (240 pounds @ 1.9" on the seat), and titanium retainers.
Jesel Pro Shaft System.
Major clearancing to accept the Jesel Pro Shaft System with up to 7/16" pushrods..
The heads have been polished in both, the ports and CC, and in all the oil return areas for faster oil return.
These heads flow 2% better than the AFR 227 Comp Heads.
The pushrods in the pictures are Jesel 7/16" double taper pushrods.
These heads started off fully CNC-ed at AFR, and then modified from there.
So all the ports and chambers are very consistent.

I've had good luck with AFR too Mike. Compared to most I've seen, they look like a work of art inside, so much nicer than most of the other heads I've seen, right out of the box. If I could spend that much on a motor, I would have bought that one you bought. No joke. It's exactly what I'm looking for if I go 1st gen sbc.I hope it's an ass kicker for ya and you get good service from it. Good luck with it buddy.

Nice parts Mike......but the push rods are alittle over kill. Save some weight and get some 3/8 pushrods.

Does it have some kinda burst panel? Cause plastic and nitrous usually don't go together very well :speechless:
