had valve covers redid, bought some new breather tubes with the clamp on open filters, $30 from speedway for both, and had my fab friend weld them to valve covers, the old valve covers were engraved wrong or didnt like the way they turned out and the breathers pushed oil out, so hopefully this will help, painted them black, I like em

hi there, maybe you know the correct method to clean the egr valve (www.autopartswarehouse.com/egr_valves~pop.html). i hope you can help me with this one.I did do a search of the forum for egr valve cleaning. some people used carb. cleaner to clean it. others used brake fluid. I have a printout of all repairs/maintenance done to it since it was new. according to the printout the EGR valve was never replaced. It definitely needs cleaning as the car is running very sluggish from a dead stop until it gets up to speed. I did clean the IAC valve not too long ago so that shouldn't be causing the problem. anything else I should look for that would cause hesitation taking off from a dead stop? Thanks

That's a good idea Mark. My valve covers don't have baffles either, and they puke some oil under hard exceleration. (I think we talked about it on the phone once a while ago) That would fix it.

It is paint or powdercoat? We just powdercoated mine Black the other night.. Matches the toilet well!
