Yeah it's the motor I'm putting together now. Only it will be new and improved.

55 psi oil pressure cold at idle... What would it drop down to once it warmed up?

40 psi at 180 degrees at 1500 rpm but at 2000 it would shoot back up. Oil pressure is all in the bearing clearances and oil viscosity. To make a motor live you want it to circulate. Not dead head. Side clearance on the rods is a big key that alot of people don't check. At 7500 it ran about 80-85. I was running 10-40 oil. Rule of thumb is 10psi for every 1000 rpm.

413 sbc with brodix 11x heads solid roller cam lots of nitrous.

Every time I've pulled the trans for any reason I'll start mine with just the flexplate...sounds like an indy car LOL

(now that I think of it I should video it and freak some people out :D)

That was with the tranny in it. I would hate to do that on my motor. Did it one time with the old carb when I first built it and it hit the 8000 chip. Decided that wasn't good on it
