hey fellas,you guys really know ur stuff, so im askin the pro's,building a bad boy 283 and i ran into a snag,my hamburger S-10 oil pan wont fit over the main girdles, anyone know of a conversion pan (S-10 of course)that will work? cost is not an issue but this thing is gonna scream some pretty high R.P.Ms so i need a good one. anny help would be greatly apriciated. i have some other detials if needed. THANK YOU.

I think most of us run just a normal chevy pan, cross member is an issue for some of us with 7qt pans, but lots get rid of that cross member and weld in a tube.

thats kinda what i was thinkin was hopeing i didnt have to but,thats the price for high perf. always somethin. thanks for the reply . no realy, thank u !

Yep.. Everything is a tight fit..
I have yet to see anyone running main girdles with a stock cross member in an S10.

i felt that with a 2bolt 283,sm jr.steel crank turnin 7-8 grand rpm's on a reguler basis (the yee haw factor) that main journal studs and girdles were essentual for this build so, whatever i have to do to accomodate that , is what it is , just adds to the flavor,u know. any way ,i will be lookin at the crossmember threads alot closer now. still gatherin parts and building motor trans. so ill be in touch. by the way, U GUYS ARE F#$*!!
