I have a race seat to install, need to remove trailer hitch and spare tire carrier. So it might weight a little less next weigh in. :) Oh will also remove the plastic vent visors too next time. and have some weld racing wheels too. The stock wheels are heavy.
Oh and we went from a 200+lb driver to a 96 lb driver. I think that might help too. ;)
You will have the LS1 with an aluminum block so that might help with the weight. Mines the cast iron block with Aluminum heads.

seems looked i should had really looked into this blazer more before i started it.. everyone told me it was around 3600lbs stock... that was the whole point of building this was to save weight my last truck weight 4880lbs but had 720rwhp and it went 10.46@136 i was trying to run that or better with less money/work but if this blazer only weights 800lbs less then i will not be able to reach my goals...

We have found so many different weights on the blazers posted in online advertisements. Whenever we post the weight before removal of seat etc... 4400lbs. people get all huffy and want to have internet debates and calling us liers. We have the scale receipt from a cat scale stating 4400lbs. then once everything was removed it was weighed again at 3980 with driver.
Second gens are heavy pigs. Might have something to do with the boxed frame. I think my next build will be a first gen short wheelbase pickup. I might pull the lt1 from the blazer and put it in the first gen. then get a LS1 for the blazer for daily use/fun.

My 88 Blazer weighs 3070 with driver, all steel and glass, 1 aluminum race seat, all interior panels are there, everything is gutted in dash. I have a fiberglass 6" hood, aluminum headed small block with power glide. This is with 3 gallons of gas and one 10lb nitrous bottle.

I have a 1st gen blazer if you want me to sign the ole title over to you :10: That is after we weight the thing.
xonspray. We also found out some neat little hidden weight in the blazer. Spare tire carrier, and than the jack , WOMEN gloves and tire mat to protect interior (my 98 4 door has the same cute stuff) lol. We will be weighing the truck again after the seat and wheels/tires are installed.
Can't wait for Mike to finish up his tubular lower control arms to hopefully shave some more weight. :fighting15:
Remember the 01x still has the stock hood and all.
