back on the dyno

since i made some changes to a powerglide, tight nitrous converter, and new nitrous solenoids. i decided to strap truck on dyno at our shop and see what it does. ill post a video lator and dyno chart. but it made 466rwhp corrected and uncorrected was 474rwhp. on a .024f.028n jetting it made 704rwhp. needed more timing but we decided to go ahead and put some bigger pills. made 727rwhp but the bottle was dry. air fule was all over the board. the smaller jetting made 12.8 all the way until end of run and it leaned out to 13.2. the bigger pills was 10.4 and up and down badley. should be able to make 780rwhp with good bottle

finally a video to to one of the dyno runs. this run was on the bigger jet but the bottle went dry. watch under the truck you can see blue flames for a second then it goes out as it went from 12.8 afr to 10.0 quickly. made 730rwhp before it went rich and was on its way up for more

yeh they are crazy but sometime you have to keep them from spinning on the dyno. we had 4 straps on rear and tires at 16si and still wanted tosmoke them on the hit. so we added some weight(people) probelm solved

I don't know, I could never get mine to dyno for shit. Years ago, I made 338 HP, NA. An hour later I ran 10.20's on the motor.:confused:

yeh on motor i made 466. and on engine dyno it made 662. but with a tight converter only goes 6.6@107 and 10.32@132 . we had a mustang on the dyno a few weekes back. made 380 through a glide and 9.5 nitrous converter and went 6.2 in 1/8th. its crazy how dyno numbers are so scewed. our rs275 turbo car made 745rwhp and went a 5.7@121 and our x275 made 833 and has been 5.68@135. the mph was huge due to it spinning some on that pass. but its crazy that one car make less 90hp more and runs like it makes 200 more
