Autocross truck

So I use this as my daily and my weekend race truck. It's a 99 s10 sc/sb with a 4.3(262)-auto. <--- obviously not the best for racing... lol but ya stick it in 2nd gear and she'll goo!

this is the truck on its daily set-up i just run another set of wheels and tires (s10 xtreme wheels 16x8 w/ 235/55 BFGoodrich Traction T/A's)

and track set-up (Coy C-55's 18x8 w/ 245/45 BFGoodrich Traction T/A-V's. 44psi front and 38-40psi in the rear depending on track layout or conditions)

Mods to make this little beast handle- All Belltech equipment its a 5/5 drop(2" spindles, 3" springs up front. 3" leafs, 2" blocks in the rear) I'm running Belltech Street Performance shocks all around. And then Hellwig 550 helper leafs before the axle for traction bars. And Belltech sway bars front and rear.

Brakes are upgraded to just Ceramic pads and Brembo rotors for the front. The rear is stock drum.

As for performance mods I have only done PCM tune, Camaro E-fan, Ebay intake w/ AEM dry filter, 50-series muffler and 2 1/2" pipe from the cat-back.

As far as thickness the zq8 front sway bar is larger then the belltech. but the rear zq8 sway bar is smaller. I had all the sizes in another post i did on another forum, i'll have to look for it. but the big difference for me on the zq8 rear bar is the mounting. My belltech mounts directly to the frame before the axle. The zq8 uses links and mounts to the frame after the axle. Now i honestly have never tested the difference nor have i seen anyone do so. So i really can't tell ya which does better. But I really like my belltech rear sway bar a lot.

ahhhahahahahaha so stoked! got a set of "used" Kumho V710's for autocross! $125 for the set! Time to put a spanking on the competition. Now i just hope i don't break anything from the traction... :laughoutloud:

muahahaha picked up the tires yesterday and the guy just gave me a second set of tires!!!! Hoosier A6's 225/45-15's along with my Kumho V710 225/50-15's. all for $125! :D Gonna burn up the A6's first to get use to the grip and then use the V710's
