I just received my E85 carb from Eric at Horsepower Innovations.
I am very excited to try it out. The 850 annular I pulled off flows 860 cfm dry on my Sf600 bench. The new "850" with down leg boosters goes 1007 cfm. Besides the E85 improvement, the added airflow might pick me up a little too. :)

Should have some tests passes as soon as the rain stops. Supposed to rain thru the new year out here.

Cheap race gas!!! The cooling benefits on top of the octane is why I'm going that route

I have a budy that runs E85 in his 66 stang w a 351w and 88mm turbo, and at 8lbs of boost and a mild tune runs 9.7's in the 1/4.

No EGT's to shoot for. Sooner or later I will get some o2 sensors.
Its a 400 cu sbc with AFR 227 heads. Super victor intake, 1-3/4 to 1-7/8 step headers. With a nitrous cam and converter, it has run 6.50 @ 109 in the 1/8, 10.23 @ 133 N/A.
6.00 @118 in the 1/8 and 9.37-143 on the bottle.
With the E85 I hope I can get some 9.90's N/A and 8.80's on spray. :10:

I just wish you were @ the same CFM so it was a true back to back comparison - I'm sure you will be pleased with the results!!!

You can run a standard AFR meter and tune off the AFR numbers for gasoline -

Cam are you going to run a seperate fuel cell with race gas for the Nos with E85 or are you going to run E85 through the Nos system.

I am going E85 for both carb and n2o. Instead of a 57n 51F spread, (x-bar plate) I am going 57 on both to start.

Sounds good. I helped a friend convert his 750 holley to E-85 and he picked up a tenth and a half without doing anything else. We are going to it this next year. Probably after March though.

Is that a '57 in your signature?

Which 88mm turbo is he using? I was thinking about doing an Ls1 turbo set up for my '55. single S400 deal using the LQ4 truck manifolds and E85.
