Take your time and do it right.. You are at the stage where people ether keep going

How do you like the yank converter. The guy that owns it lives close to me. We have had him build several race converters for us and he seems to do awesome work. Him and his son were on a tv show pypes on espn and it was filmed at my local track. From what he told me his converters are built out of vegas or somewhere now. He buoght a company out there. By the way it is a sweet ride your putting together.

haven't drove it enough to tell yet... but i can tell you it is very un-noticeable that i even have a stall just driving easy... wish i would had gotten a higher stall but i am wanting it to hook-up on the street more than the track

jdrags10
06-23-2009, 11:34 PM
On ours he cut it open and opened some clearances and didn't charge us a dime surprisingly. After that it was a perfect converter. He built ours in his garage. He had all kinds of tools just for building converters.

here a few pics from re-doing...
we cut all of the crossmember out and replaced it with a pipe, put solid motor mounts in (which i love), shortened the FLAMING RIVERS steering rack 9 1/2 inches (so bump steer would be right), and a few other things..

and a vid if the idle with and without the cut-outs open
