Maybe you can section the back of the bed (The part closest to the cab)
and the section of the floor all the way to the bars stationary.
And make the sides and the floor removable?
Make it so you can unbolt it.
All you need are some flanges underneath the bed..

ok here is what i was thinking to do take the front wall of the bed out for the most part put a bar or flat steel acrossed it so it can be unbolted, and remove the floor all together from the fuel cell forward, but then i was thinking also just take the floor out from the opening in the floor for the bars and put tabs on the bars and from thir run some small round bar stock to to a tab on the bottom of the box rails bolt it or weld it then it will still keep the box sides strong enuff to take the side loads and not calaps in let me know what you think about that idea
Thank You
Robert
and plus if i keep the floor open I can change the read suspension over the winter to coil overs and dbl adj ladder bars

If you remove the floor, don't put a bed cover over it, even if you run a tailgate net...

I had a dime, grafted the bed to the cab, completely open floor, just the outer skins of the sides. I had struts running from the frame to the skins, used Dzus fasteners to take it all apart as needed. It flopped, so I added Dzus fastened aluminum panels on the top. Slowed down a good bit at the next race. Removed the Panels, number went back up...

I painted my truck friday morning and it went back to white the paint was free and it looks nice ill get some pic's up some time this weekend but i still have to cut the front of the bed up some time soon so i can over the winter time to put dbl adj ladder bars with coil overs on it

My inner bed is completely gone. Cut it under the top rail and made a tube frame that holds it all together and it sets on the frame and can be removed. Had it fastened with dzus fasteners but they didn't hold it strong enough. The tonneau is attached to the cage also for removal of the bed. I have alot of support braces so it all stays tight. If I didn't lift the tonneau you would never know it was gone. Saved alot of weight this way also. I will post some pics sunday.
