I'm seriously thinking about buying a set of trick springs for the front of my truck. With these springs installed will the truck sit lower, higher or stock height? I know some people have cut a coild to get the exact ride height their after. I'm just curious if the truck will sit lower after the springs are installed

it will sit a little higher than stock but will settle.that's why they tell you to run them for
two or three weeks before you go cutting on them as they will get shorter. i found out the hard way.

If you run them don't cut them they settle pretty much to were every coil sits on each other. I cut one oil off the set I had. With the 2 inch drop spindles they had the front so low I couldn't turn the tire. Basically learning the hard way.

Disturbing V6: what pound spring rate was you using?

There one for a Monte 47205 is the part number. If I remember correctly there 240 lbs/inch or close to that. The truck weights 3120 with out driver. So according to moroso they should be able to hold a little over half the trucks weight. Next ones up are for BB Monte. And are only like 10 lbs heavier. Personally think you need almost a 280 lb spring or so at least in my case it just doesn't drop strait to the ground.

I think if you don't mind spending the money get the QA-1 coil over kit. I originally thought about putting the stock spindle back on but my drop spindle is set up for the brakes so decided to put factory S-10 sport springs in the front instead at the time.

Do you have a pic of your truck with this set up? I just bought a set of 47130's of ebay that had a 1/4 of a coil cut off. i'm now worried it'll be to low with my 3" dropped control arms. wonder if i'd be better off selling the control arms and buying 2" dropped spindles.

I've thought about buying the QA1 coil over kit but I already had these parts laying around. bad part is no one is interested in buying the control arms if I sell em. people only wanna trade and they tend to only wanna trade parts I dont need or already have

Thats a good looking truck! I think my best bet is to sell the control arms and buy tubular lower control arms and 2" dropped spindles. To many people dislike them and I will always listen to experience.

I take it you had full length headers? i have fenderwells for mine but have to run exhaust. mine will see very limited street use.
