I run the 400, but from the sounds of your package I think you'd be better off with a glide. Less weight, less rotating weight, and less drivetrain power loss.

I've been known to be wrong... just ask my wife. I'm sure others will chime in as well.

With a 'Glide, converter choice is even more important, but if you get the right one, it would definitely be quicker than a TH400. :cool4:

I went to a glide this yr, I bracket race so for me, hell ya a glide is way better, and a trans brake, that also makes it a hell of a lot nicer:rock::rock::rock::rock:
I race no box in pro et, so shiffing one time is a lot nicer then 2, makes for a tighter package

glide will soften up luanch on nitrous and allow a more agresive tuneup for luanch.

I have never ran a th400 in anything myself so can input on them...
But, I had a th350 behind my 383 2 years ago and when I swapped to a glide I dropped .28 on my et with that being the only change...
Kept the same converter had the turbo shaft put in the glide...

straight race then glide all the way. if some street driving go to the 350TH.

Don't cry when you make that first motor pass. Mine is a pig with the glide, and a3400 stall converter. But it sure likes the spray :21:

Good move! Nothing like shifting right before the stripe.
