Breathers

Has anyone used the valve cover breather grommets with an integral baffle? Moroso makes them, and I wondered if they work. My sheet metal covers dont have baffles, and this would be an easy fix.

are you taking about the ones with foam inside ?

The integral rubber baffles with the foam didn't work for me.

The pre-fab moroso bolt-in-through-the-top of the valve covers DID work. :D

Dont think these have foam, but I could be wrong.Talked to a local engine builder who has a couple sets. He said they're made by Moroso, like a rubber tube with a slit in the bottom. Told me to come down and get a set and try them. I think I will! Hey James, Thanks for reminding me! I got a set of the bolt in Moroso ones on an old set of valve covers!

OK. I didnt know that. I'll see them possibly tomorrow. If they dont work, I'll just use the bolt in ones James mentioned. Thanks guys

I usually use the ones with the foam but I put a black wrist sweat band around the base after I put the breather back in the grommet. Looks good and you can buy a pack with multiple bands in it for a couple bucks. It works great. I can run the same one on there for a little over a year before it starts to get dirty.
