Does anyone know if they make a spindle with a narrower track width? I know they make arms for this, needs to be the spindles...

how narrow do you need to go. When I put the aerospace brakes on the front of mine it set the track width out 3/4" on each side. To fix the problem I machined the rotors deeper on the inside bearing and presses out the shaft from the spindle and made it shorter on the outside and rethreaded it and pressed it back in. The shaft presses out fairly easy. I set it in about 1 inch on each side. Had I machined where the rotor bracket bolts to the spindle I could have went further.

I'm not sure exactly how much. I am trying to put the s10 spindle and rotor on my LUV, as I'm tired of the crappy LUV brakes seizing...

Will they interchange. I have never worked on a luv but I have worked on many
S-10's. That would be cool if they interchange. Is the taper on the ball joints the same.

No they won't interchange. I'm working on something to change that...

I think you can machine the factory rotors but I'm not for sure if the caliper will work because it floats on the bolt. Don't know if they make an aftermarket caliper that will not float for the facory rotor. If so it will possibly work. I wonder hat the difference is between the luv inide and outside bearing diameters are compared to the S-10 and the bolt pattern of the caliper. Could the S-10 rotor and caliper be machined to work on the luv spindle. Or even have new spindle shafts made to fit the luv spindle with the S=10 bearings and rotors if the caliper patern is the same.

Part# AC-247
Aerospace makes brakes specifically for luvs but they are kinda pricey.
jegs sells them too.

Yeah, the Aerospace are the only game in town for aftermarket. The factory LUV caliper is the problem, which is why I'm working on this. My truck has the factory rotors redrilled for 5 lug, which is hard to get someone to do now, but the &*() calipers keep sticking. I unstuck the drivers side just before I went to the track last month, now the passenger side is stuck. And actually, the factory LUV stuff to me needs to come in about an inch, as the front track width is a little wide for my taste as far as looks. I have dug into my parts stash, and may have found a different spindle application that might work, just got to get everything else caught up, so i can check it out...
