View Full Version : TnT 9" breakage

Went to TnT got to make 2 passes. Then on the 3rd I am staged on transbrake at 4200 let go and barely moves revs to the moon. Just got home if I get any motivation might tear down tomorrow see what happened and get a pic. Hope its not too bad only got 4 passes on it. :sick2:

Damage report broke both stock 31 spline axles. One at edge of spline the other in the middle. Think everything else is ok. still gotta pull the 3rd member to get the broke pieces out. Time to upgrade axles.

You didn't "Beat the Heat" this time. Dude that sucks ..... you just got it up and running. I like that track guy walks over and bends down right in front of your door. ***Slam*** Oppps ..... I didn't see you! LOL

I really wanted to outrun the highway patrol and yeah just got it together only 4 passes. When it happened i was trying to get off gas asap because I dont have a rev limiter.

Wow Faron, BOTH axles? Tough break. Really wanted to see ya in "roll bar" territory. Well, it could have been a hell of alot worse. No damage to the center section?

You and me both phil. Yeah I am glad I was not going down track. Have not pulled 3rd member yet so not sure. Its been really hot here.

Well good luck bro....at least you know what length axles to order. That's half the battle.

That sucks, glad you have parts on order though, I also dont have a rev limiter and every time I go to the track I hate myself for it. Ive caught myself in the burnout box a time or two getting it a little high.....

Well the damn front pump in the tranny went out today. :fighting15:
Hopefully will have it back together tomorrow though and still make it to the track.

Wells guys had a great night except my camera operator had to stay home with our sick daughter. Got to make 5 passes. previous best was 7.64 @ 90.68

Cool Faron! Better weather this time? That motor should start loosening up now and times will get better without any changes.Now start tweakin and tunin and it'll just keep gettin better!

The weather was real nice like mid 50's after dark. The only change I made was went to 28" slicks.
