My .458 Winchester Magnum

Here is a couple of pics and a vid of my .458 rifle.

I was sore in the vid so I shot it left handed..
Shot was about 80 yards with a 350 grain soft point..
The target was a 5 gallon jug of water. (for fun)
Take note.. This was ripping at over 2,400 fps
Look at the impact on the cooler..

If you download the vid and play it in slow motion you will get an
idea of the power the rifle has..

This is a custom made .458 using a German Mauser action.
I adjusted the Timmeny trigger to a hair over 1lb!

Yeah.. those 350 grain bullets have some kick but the 610 grain bullets are the
"rotator cup breakers"..

A friend of mine wanted to try it .. So I let him..
He is about the same size as LSX10.. He blew his shoulder out of socket..
I tried to push it back in.. Had to call it a day and take him to the hospital..
If you haven't shot anything of this caliber.. It's no joke..
It WILL knock you on your ass!!

I have sausage fingers..lol The bullet with shell is about 4-7/8" the 610 grain is over 5"

If I had access to what you guys can get a hold of.. It would be a different story. :)

I do know one thing.. my brother was in the forces and he has shot .50 cals
and some bigger.. most of what you guys shoot is designed not to kick as bad..
In other words.. they have been engineered to reduce the recoil..
No one would last running around shooting an animal like this..

If you were to strap this on you would know you just shot something..
Every person I have ever let shoot this rifle has walked away rubbing their
shoulder.. (and we all shoot guns down here)

I would sure like to get a hold of some of the exotics you guys get to play with..
You can rest assured.. this isn't my only toy ;)
