Just like everything else it all depends on your budget and goals for the truck...IMO if you are street driven then you need to leave more margin for error than a track only rig.

I've got a BeCool dual row radiator that's rated for 1000hp; dual 13" spal fans (3700ish cfm) a Stewart stage 2 pump and a their 195 deg stat. I drove around for 45 minutes yesterday stoplight to stoplight in 80 degree weather and the fans never came on once. :)

I currently have a mid '80's corvette radiator with a 16" flexalite engine driven fan. It cools good while driving but heats up if i let it sit and idle to long. I will be going with a heavy duty 4.3 s10 radiator. The heavy duty version is sold at napa. It is thicker than the regular 4.3 version. I will be going with '98 and up dodge intrepid/concorde dual electric fans. My buddy has this setup on his truck which is making 960 rwhp and it cools great. Its a 90mm turbo'd 6.0 ls motor. His truck wont break 200 degrees in traffic.

I am using the radiator out of a 69 chevrolet pickup and the electric fan and cutdown shroud from a contour
Had to modify the radiator support area but this radiator should do just fine
