Has anyone cut the stock firewall out and put one in from s&w racecars.

Has anyone cut the stock firewall out and put one in from s&w racecars.

I like to know how to so i can try cut mind out just don't know how to start it, if i should brace it with somthing or just cut it out.

If that's the route you're gonna go, I would have the new firewall from S & W sitting there before I cut anything to get some exact measurements. Don't think I would worry about bracing if the cab is bare and solid and well supported. Like bolted to the frame with solid mounts. If it's something you feel strongly about you could run a horizontal dash bar for support.

I was going to have someone to do it but they wanted 500.00 and i cold buy it for 110.00 i may try it myself, thanks for the help.

I got a mig and a plasma cutter i just bought, i want to try to lose some weight to because my cousin has a turbo mustang i am trying to run with him.

I made my own firewall! then I could put it in where I cut it, instead of cut it where someone else wants me to!

jonboy if you are going to runa class with your truck I wouldnt cut. Most of them state you have to have a stock firewall in place. If not, cut it!

THANKS, I don't plan on runnin a class just trying to out run my cousin's mustang. I need to lose weight because he has a turbo.
