well me and john took the 2 s10's to the track last night. johns first pass was not so good. he ran like a 8.14 spinning 100 foot are better. my first pass went to hell when the back floats on my carb hung and i didnt even get to stage. john got better and so did the the truck he was driving. we never got it to quit spiining but got the time down to a 7.64 spinning. my truck after fixing the carb issue decideds to spring an oil leak. the harmanic balancer had backed off some and i striped the bolt in the end of the crank. so i loaded mine and watched john run the rest of the night. that truck was consitent even though it was spinning. here is john in the burn box. sorry Mike i took it on my camera phone and forgot about it..

You sound like you have the same luck I had when I had my 92 ranger with a 306/c4 combo in it. Truck always toyed with my emotions at the track and I could never make a pass.
Glad you guys were able to go out and race something and get some passes under the belt

yes kelly thats nicks old truck with the new motor we put in for him. he never took it to the track after we put it in. there is still alot in the truck...
and all them new parts are still sitting ready to go on... we have a base line now... so we will kinda know if doing something helped or hurt it...
avery and i talked about leaving it as it is... but then we would always wonder what if...

At least you guys are getting to the track!
I went 2 years with no track time.. finally got a run in and was on the wrong chip..
Got 1 full pass and let off at around 500ft.
Then blew the heads off the motor..
yeah.. I know how you feel..
I spend more time building things so others can race.. While I'm on the sidelines..
All of us will be running soon enough! ;)

I would drive about 30 more miles down the road to a track that is a lot more friendly. Buffalo valley hooks better for me then crossville anyway.
