Pushlok is SOOOOOO much easier to work with, and cheaper; but I would double check to make sure it will pass at the track you intend to run at.
This is a good place to order this stuff, or Jegs/Summit has it as well.

If yo decide to do braided check out red horse fittings
http://www.redhorsedirect.com/
Them fittings are the shortcut to the poorhouse! I'm doing -an on mine, and the fittings don't seem that expensive, but you need a bunch of'em and it gets expensive quick, along with good pumps, filters regs, and line.
pushlock is nhra legal but it has to say 250 psi on it to be legal, I have run it and it works good for me, the fittings on any of these an stuff gets spendyy, I used to have 8an to reg then 6an to carb, now I am going to have 8an all the way to carb, I need to buy some more of them fittings

i have been doing my research on the best price for what i want to do and heres what i have found so far. I can get the nice blue pushlock hose good for 250psi for the best price at www.racepartsolutions.com and that is -8an and its 2.58 a foot. i can get the fittings threw my work(oreilly auto parts) for all the fittings and also a filter will be right at 100 bucks. then i need two pumps one for motor and one for standalone. i have the regulator's already

For some more general fittings like adapters and stuff (basically everything but the hose ends) you can get these from a hydraulic shop - they will be made of steel and heavier, but most generally they also have a larger ID and will flow more than an aluminum fitting.
all of the -6 hoses and fittings on my truck were made at a shop... these -6 hoses are just to run fuel to the nos system... it was a lot cheaper getting them made than it was to buy the lines and all the fittings... the plus side is that all of them are teflon lined and rated to 2500 psi...
