I starting to think that black should not have been my first choice for my first paint job, but there is always next time....

not a great pic, the pin striping in the white is not showing through, but after hours of labor and I mean hours (14 hours and 2 friends) wet sanding here is the end result......

Looks good. You could have painted it red and done the white accent stripe and had a Starsky and Hutch S 10... :smile5:. Just kidding. I know after driving a primer beauty for a while and then having nice paint, I almost walked by my truck in the parking lot.
The problem with a nice paint job - all of the chrome, rubber and stainless looks like poo next to nice fresh paint.
Hopefully when it's done, you can post some nice high resolution pics.

The new colors look good man! :cool4:
I remember my first paint job was the same with the orange peel... I painted my dad's 57 Chevy Sedan a Metallic Copper. Dried too fast, but was lacquer so we just sanded and sanded and sanded and....
It's a lot of work, but you can say that you did it yourself! I bet your next one will be better. Practice make perfect and it's great if your family and friends let you practice on theirs :10:
