The Gamblers Drag Racing Association would like to invited the members and racers of S10Racer.com to join us in some off track fun. While not a racing event, the GDRA will be taking place in 2 events in between races that should be a ball. First up is the GDRA Car Show presented by the Varsity Pub. The event will be June 12th and take place in downtown Kingston, IL home of the Varsity Pub between the hours of 1 to 5PM. The Varsity Pub is one of our sponsors and really liked the idea of having a cruise night. Its a great place to hang out, eat, drink, and tell lies.
The second event will take place at the Rolling Meadows Cruisers weekly cruise night on July 2nd from 6 to 9PM and will be HUGE. George Barris will be on hand and the RMCC's are predicting 10,000 spectators for this event. This will be talked about for a long long time! The drivers of the GDRA will have several of their 8 second door slammers on hand for these events. We would love it if racers/members from here joined us to help promote drag racing as a whole. We have secured parking for tow rigs and trailers and a police escort both in and out of the cruise nights so no worries about John Q Law. LOL
Anyone that wants to come out for a good day of sun, hot rods, burgers, beers, and good fun is more than welcome and encouraged to do so. Weather you have an old classic or some new muscle or a tricked out tow rig, bring it on out. Bring the whole family, your friends, and come hang out and check out all the hardware on hand.
