WOOT! Was a close race. That was the 2nd race BACK to back vs Carson (lightning) First pass against him he cut a better light and of course I wasn't hitting the nitrous but until around 30 ft out. Still running rich on the wideband. Glad "little red riding hood" stood her ground.

I'm right there with him... if it breaks we fix it with better and faster parts ;)
heck I was the one surprised he didn't want to shoot it from home. could have had an 8 flat or better...lol I guess he's the one who didn't want to break it. dang maturity...lol
What could happen.. rear blow... get an 8.8 with 3.73's or 4.10's. now that would not be to bad. :D I have another vehicle to drive while this one is laid up.

I just didn't want to have to push the blazer from the starting line all the way to the truck/trailer. lol Hell, I was leaving barely off idle in those videos. I got my camcorder here with me now and will post up the others my wife and whomever else was using it, of the blazer.

I have also raced my own vehicles in the past dan. Its just recently I have sold mine and its either we race dads blazer or I race my stock 4.3 blazer with a baby seat. :laughoutloud:
An old saying we all kid about because it is true in general.
"Have you ever noticed how when others drive your vehicle it either comes back with shitter gas mileage or just beat to all hell and back? " If so, let them drive it at the track because there is NO MERCY There.
Thats the way we see things.
Plus, I wrench the living hell out on that blazer. :10: I am the one that installed the somewhat hidden nitrous kit while he was at work :antlers:

Dan,
Lxtasy does 90% of the wrenching on the vehicle. I spend the money and help wrench where my back allows me too. I believe he has earned his right to drive it. He definately knows if it does break I'll be buying new better parts and WE will be installing them. I think we have a pretty good arrangement. I raced a lot in my younger days. It's no big deal to me now. I get most of my enjoyment watching my offspring have a ton of fun.
When he gets another vehicle to build for the track then I'll take the driving duties back, but thats just in case my 120 lb youngest son doesn't want to drive it then. Oh he's done his share too with the blazer. It's a family affair.
The one commercial I liked on tv was the one where the father and son were working together on a car. They spoke about talking to your kids. Getting involved. So much communication happens during those times and a special bond is made. I will never trade those times working together for anything in the world.

Its ok. Its still untuned :D
Guy that owns the mustang is crying saying that we should run on stock tires instead of nittos and wants us to unmod the truck to give him a fair race.
Even though the power to weight ratio is in his favor 1hp per 15 lbs to our 1 hp to 17 lbs.

He won't admit defeat. He was us to run on the stock wheels/tires instead of the ws6 wheels with nitto drag radials. :laughoutloud:
Why must people pick on a 4400+ lb mini suv?

Weighted the blazer today in race trim. But at the track we ran with full tank of gas and today it was less than 1/4 and it weighted WITH ME IN IT 3980.
