thumbs up . no guessing about hp now
well there was good, and there was bad
the good, motor is very well put together, ran smooth as silk
very smooth, and stable
bad news its around 50hp from were it should be
motor went back to engine builders shop
next week ordering a new crower roller cam
and they dont like the intake so a port matched super victor is on my wish list but not this yr
with new cam , power should be were it should be, and a differnt intake will help also
531 hp at 6000
545 hp at 6600
487 ft lbs torq at 5100
dyno was fun, but sure wanted better numbers,
engine builder will order new cam after talking with crower what engine will like
and he will set it all up, and I will go pick it up and run the hell out of it

Well good run. Its never the same on paper
Keep your head up...
Thats good power...
The paper doesnt really mean a thing...
It's the numbers on the clock...
I have seen a dynoed 500 hp car that cant out run 350 hp properly tuned...
If it made consistant and good flow numbers, let it ride and work it up later on...
Mine didnt hardly make what I was hoping for but I am very pleased with numbers it did do...
Was hoping for 600ish and it made 579...

That is very nice numbers for the cubic inches and head size. More than a lot I have seen.
Those are very close numbers to a 406 that AFR had dyno results with those heads
http://www.airflowresearch.com/chevy_dyno.php
those are only low compresion motors, mine is a 13.2-1 motor
both engine builder and guy who owns dyno, who builds race motors, said my motor should make 600 easy
my engine builder is ordering a 4-7 swap roller from crower, they will talk to them and figure out what I need, it will all work out, it just wasnt what I wanted

Hey Mark, those ae good numbers, the way it sits now that motor should put u well in the tens. I talk to Bruce yesterday about the d day and it sounds like that cam is way wrong your cylinder fill efficency was down around 80% a better cam and a manifold with good volacity will help that.
Still that motor was smooth, I dont think I want to race you anymore. LOL!!!
