got the truck up and running, it goes up to 160 then jumps up in temp pretty high like 190-210 real erractic. it has a electric water pump on it, gutted thermostat with 6 1/8 holes also drilled into it, big rad and 16" puller fan, I had the fan and a "big" fan in front of it the whole time on break in. Whats got me puzzled is that I run a in-line filler neck on the upper hose, I run a overflow tank but its not a recovery style. It filled my overflow and started pukeing out of it due to it filled it up...any ideas?

Headgasket sealing issue.if it's building up excessive pressure and pushing coolant out.

I kinda wondered that, the block has been decked and the heads are squared and shaved. It doesnt smoke though, Im also wondering maybe I need to figure out the in-line filler neck...
rd the filler neck is at the highest point in the system correct??? meaning that it is mounted higher than all of the other cooling components??? i have seen air bubbles form in some systems set up like this that can cause the exact stuff you are talking about...

Be sure you are getting coolant flow with the elec water pump

Yes it has vapor lock...open the radiator and let it bubble like crazy but watch your temp guage. When it is out the temp will instantly go down. I have done this with mine..the temp will jump to 160-180 instantly. If it isnt this it will be more major...the other guys hit on that...I would try the small things before trying pulling it apart.

sevenseven, I run a electric water pump on this, also a gutted thermostat. I ran it last night and still shooting coolant in overflow, I think Im going to try a different cap and install a recirculating can on it. The truck doesn't smoke , I got the cap at the high point, Ill let everyone know, btw my truck sounds AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! the tunnel ram is very respondive and dead nuts, I haven't even yet to tune the carbs

yea its at the high point, I tryed today with the coolant topped, engine cold, and turned on the electric water pump for atleast a min and watched the collant kinda spill into the over flow, nothing really major, and when it was done I took the cap off and it was still full, a guy told me I may have a bad cap, and apon looking at it, the cap seats down inside the neck, but seems not a great seal. Im going to pick up a new cap, and maybe pressure test it. Ill get vid guys, the truck is alot louder (even with the 4" 1 chamber flowmasters :smile5: and my neighbor just had a kid) so Im being a good neighbor and respecting it, the only vid I have is with a camrea vid when it was breaking in, and its horrible
