go to I-22 sat and rolling right along, running rt lane 6.07 a few passes in a row.then a head wind picks up and slows me to 6.08.i dial that and run it.at 8 cars the wind dies back but i leave it on a 8. at 8 we go on the ladder i get hooked up with a 4.79 pipe rack.i tree him and go into brain fart mode.i gather it up a little at 250' down track.and think dude{him} you are going home.he don't get there and at about 650' i hit the brks and trip the 660 beam with the bumper valance.wrong thing to do i go 6.076 on a 8 dial.i get to go home.OUCH. the guy went on to win the rsce.
At least it was fun right?

it was a blast right up until the moment i screwed up at the finish line.i guess it's because
i like sending dragsters packing so much.don't you know they just hate being sent home
by little trucks.
sounds like fun!!!!!!

Bracket racing is a major challenge and some people dont realize how much effort goes into making a vehicle consistant

I think we've all made mistakes at the finish line before, when I do something like that it eats at me until the next time I climb into the car.

How is the track at I-22, I live just north of Huntsville and was wanting to come down there for a race but didn't want to drive that far for nothing.

i would say it's a good track.it's just now one year old and all concrete.i have been 5.99
9 times in a row and had 1.26 60' all at 3140 lbs with a small block n/a last wk some p/m cars
were going 4.0's. kind of funny a friend of mine took a car he just got a few wks ago and never took out to run.i said now that's brave.he had 5.49 on his dial board.and that's what it ran on his first pass in the car.Alan
