curious to see whos running 11's or close with what combo. i am shooting for being right around rollcage territory with mine.
my combo
gutted 90' no cage (yet)
383 11:1 n/a
dart platinum pro 1 200cc
dart dual plane intake
comp cam 244/252 .550" .570" @.50
750hp
shorty headers (need (want) fenderwells but short on funds)
powerglide no brake 4K stall
ford 9" 4.30 gears
29.5x10.5 mt
from my estimate this should get somewhere in the 11's.
I will just be glad to get it going!

I do not think you will have a problem running in the 11s

thanks guys. I was just wondering what other combos guys were using to get into the 11's.
Seems like alot of trucks on this board a quite a bit faster than that.

Put some gas on it and you might be faster than your 11's :D
I ran low 12's with a heck of a lot less then you have, pushing a big back tire and a big fat boy behind the wheel, ran a 12.38 at 108 with a 1.61 60
355 9to1 motor
470 flat tappet cam
stock oem heads
650 dp carb
turbo350
4500 8"vert
4:86 gears

I am gonna hold off on the gas for now. Dont know how the hypereutectic pistons would like gas. this is my first drag truck so 11's should be a good starting point.
I am sure it wont be long before I want to go faster :drummer:

I'm shooting for low 11's as well. My brothers co-worker has a similar setup and ran a 11.18 the first trip to the track and was having traction issues... He has a 377 with a t-400, stock suspension, 9" with 4:56 gears, 29.5 x 10 slicks. I would have to check on the details, but I don't think that you will have a problem hitting the 11's. :10:

11S should be no problem I ran 11.65 at Yakama last year with my 327,350 turbo no brake and a 100 shot, don't worry about your hypertectics with nos, that's want I have you can go 150 saftly if you oil cool the piston. But a 100 shot is no problem if you use race gas and watch the timing.

As long as you keep the timing under control, the hypers will live a little while...

Keeping them cool is the key? oil cool down will make the diff of about 400 degrees, hyper are strong just brittle.

NO detonation is the key...

Just put a small 150 plate on it. 150 is a safe start and as long as you control the fuel and timing you shouldn't have any worries.

I used a rotating assembly from Norther Auto Parts. It ran good for what I had in it. I turned it to high to many times. Shifted at 7-7400 rpm.
Yes with a cast crank!!!
It finially said it was done. LOL

I ran 11.65 at 115 last year with my 327 11.1 motor iron heads hyper pistons 350 turbo 3500 stall 9in 411 and 100hp shot, putting a rollcage in now a nos cam and going to shoot 150 on the nos. I ran nitrous all last year and the pistons are fine just watch the timing and run good gas,I run 114 purple. I am also making a set of fender wall headers.
