Yes, I have.. I was just talking to Bobby (onehookinsuv) about them..
I will post some pics later of mine.
The main reason I haven't posted any pics is because I know I will get swamped with orders..
Trust me..they are bad ass!

I am trying to catch up with everything.. Once I have I will take orders again.. I hate to make people wait.. I made a jig so they will be easy to produce.

Thanks for posting that link again Bobby :) You knew I would ask for those numbers again..lol

I actually ordered them March 6th and they were on backorder then... I just got them last Thursday so, maybe they are caught up on the backorders now.

Sweet tip thanks a ton! I had heard that you could use some cheap tubulars but wasn't sure exactly what ones? I wonder if they would fit a '70-'81 Camaro as well? Hmmmm................

Looks like (2) right hand side 8 inchers and stock ball joints I'm guessing?

Diabolical

I have 2 (8" ones) I will be selling..
I am getting ready to make my own and they have to be 8.5" because I'm sitting so low.

You will need a 7 degree reamer for your spindles..

so with a 3 inch drop would i need the 8'' or 8.5''

Diabolical
05-28-2010, 10:47 AM
Definitely the 8.5.. I am running a 4" drop and I have ZERO adjustment..
I was thinking about building a set of 9's a shimming it out..
I'll check the geometry closer when I go to build mine..
At 3" you will be fine with the 8.5" and be able to adjust..
I am seriously going to wear out my tires If I keep running like this.

jdrags10
05-28-2010, 11:14 AM
Are yal using dropped spindles as well? Cause mine is way lower and I am using 8" upper control arms without a problem. And stock lowers with modifications to bump stop area.

Diabolical

Nope.. I am using a dropped lower a-arm but it is exactly the same as a stocker..
The spring bucket is lower by 3" and I am using 1" drop springs. (Stock spindles)

I measured the mounting point to the ball joint on the lowers.. They are exactly the same.

If you go over to the (hempfh..) low rider community.. They will tell you the same thing..
After about 3" you need to go with a 8.5 to get the proper adjustment..
(at least with the ability to adjust)

Are you running any shims? I want a pic! ;)

1slowdime
05-28-2010, 12:06 PM
I have drop spindles on mine i wanna go a little lower so i may be cutting the springs

i have shims on the factory upper arms. Also what brakes do you have jdrags?and why do you run that diff ball joint is the bolt in style just as good or is ther a performance diff?

jdrags10
05-28-2010, 12:45 PM
Brakes are aerospace. But I did some machine work to them. Didn't like the way they fit from them. And ball joints are just because that's what the local company had in stock and they just look cleaner to me.

1slowdime
05-28-2010, 12:48 PM
They do look cleaner did you have to reem them or anything

jdrags10
05-28-2010, 12:53 PM
Yes. Had to ream them like diabolical posted above. Reamer is about $100 But your local circle track shop should have a reamer and be able to do it for you

1slowdime
05-28-2010, 12:56 PM
might just go with the bolt in style so i dont have to reem them

1slowdime
05-28-2010, 12:57 PM
What exactly do they reem it for just the diff ball joints or what sorry for all the questions

jdrags10
05-28-2010, 01:05 PM
They ream because of a different taper on different ball joints. Look at the pic diabolical posted. There is a 7 and 10 on tapers. He taper of the ball joint should match the taper inside the spindle.

1slowdime
05-28-2010, 01:38 PM
ok i see thanks for the info. There is a little circle track place local i will see if they have a reamer. The more i think about it the better i like the look lol
