I think I attached the pic of my '82 that has a 383 stroker in it, 700 R4 and an LSD 3.73 rear. I am waiting for the rear to pop, but it has been pretty good so far. I have other pics of my 3 others, but the filter is so tight, I have to mess with the pics to get them in. Anyway, here is the first of 4.

Here's a really weird one that I have. It's an '88 Dodge Dakota with a 70 Olds 350 and turbo 350. Bone stock, it turns a 15 flat 1/4. Single exhaust to boot:yesnod: When I have time, it will go into the 12s and look bone stock. No wheels or anyhting to give it away. Maybe with spray, quicker. Uh huh.

What will the truck run in the 1/4? Would a 4:11 gear work better or worse?

I guess it would be quicker with a 4.10. I drive this on the street, at 60 mph it's turning over 3500 RPM with the 3.73. With a 4.10, it would most likely turn just short of 4000 at 60 to 63 MPH. I go to the track once in a while and run eliminator. The truck is pretty consistent at 12. 20 with my best time at 12.11, so I usually make it close to the top. I've broken out a few times woth a dial in of 12.19
The truck could use a nice deatail body job, it's a 20 20 right now- Looks good as it's going by. One of these days I'll get the body straightened out. I don't have pics of the engine with me, but it looks like any other small block Chevy in an S10.
I know you guys aren't into otner stuff, but the Dakota with the Olds that I have will be pretty strange running 12s looking like a regular granny truck.:sombrero:

Yea it might be a few tenths quicker with the 4:10 if traction is not a problem. The reason I asked is because I'm going from a 3:42 posi 10 bolt, changing gears to 4:10 running a th350.

I have to do a good burn to get the tires to grab a little. Old BF Goodrichs get hard after a few years. My reaction time is usually under .2, but my 60 foot is around 1.6. Not much go until it hooks - usually in second gear. I think I would grenade the rear if it had slicks on it. The 7.5 isn't good for long with any traction. Oh, the line lock helps out too. For $75 on Ebay, it was worth it. :hat:
